A New, highly Flexible, Video Microscope with side viewing BGA zoom lens (4x zoom factor) and brilliant Image Quality for flexible Visual Inspection and Digital Image Recording of BGA, m BGA, CSP and Flip-Chip packages and all other type of components on printed circuit boards. Flexia BGA creates sharp pictures of solder balls under BGA packages up to 12 mm deep (15-20 rows) and down to 0.05 mm component Stand off .
Flexia BGA is compact, flexible and ergonomically designed. The equipment weights only 200 gram including its BGA lens and the built-in LED illumination. Flexia BGA can be operated mobile in one hand or be deployed as a regular microscope on its ESD-protected boom Stand. Besides the side viewing BGA lens, Flexia BGA contains a 1-60x high quality Macro Zoom Lens that turns the equipment to a regular Video Microscope for regular visual inspection and quality control of PCBs at manufacturing plants or R&D.
Flexia BGA can be used as a cost effective alternative to, or in combination with conventional x-ray inspection systems. Unlike traditional x-ray systems, however, Flexia BGA allows the operator to confirm solder ball shape, voids, bridging, excess flux, micro cracking, surface defects, abnormalities, cleanliness and other soldering defects on BGA components.
Flexia BGA delivers an analogue video signal in PAL (NTSC as option), which can easily be connected to a TV-monitor. For recording digital pictures or performing software measurements, one can chose any of Optilia´s PCMCIA or USB2.0 Frame Grabbers with or without Measurement and Media Archiving Software.
Flexia BGA is designed according to requirements of electronics manufacturer regarding, flexibility, image quality, time and cost effectiveness. Flexia BGA is ESD-protected and EPA approved according to EN and IEC standards.
