OPEVA is entering its final phase

The European project OPEVA – Optimization of Electric Vehicle Autonomy is entering its final phase, scheduled for April 2026 . Since 2023, Flash Battery has been part of this international ecosystem involving 37 partners from 11 countries, with a clear objective: to improve the autonomy and efficiency of electric vehicles, making them more accessible and reliable for a growing number of users across Europe.

Within Demo 3 , dedicated to advanced battery monitoring, Flash Battery contributed by providing a complete battery system equipped with advanced sensors installed on a vehicle for field testing.
The project was developed in collaboration with key partners such as Alkè , responsible for vehicle integration; University of Perugia and LGE for sensor development and validation in laboratory environments; and Sensichips for advanced sensing technologies.

Throughout the project activities, functional prototypes were developed, communication between the battery and the vehicle was optimized, and the system’s level of intelligence and connectivity was enhanced. This enabled the collection of valuable data for operational management and for predicting battery behavior over time.
